A Space to Remember Belonging
Michael Stone envisions a path that moves us beyond the heavy weight of separation toward the fertile ground of connection. Belonging, he suggests, is not a destination we reach or a prize we earn, but a dynamic practice we cultivate together. It is the simple, profound act of remembering the relationships that already sustain us.
What helps us feel more at home in ourselves?
What allows us to remain connected when we are different?
What happens when we listen beneath our assumptions and familiar stories?
In the Circle, we practice listening not to fix, but to understand; not to persuade, but to witness. Together, we remember our place in the greater whole.
Come as you are...
Participants don't need to agree, share the same beliefs, or be alike to belong. We practice listening without immediately fixing, defending, or persuading, making room for curiosity, courage, care, and the unique beauty of different lived experiences.
What Happens in a Belonging Circle?
No prior experience is needed, and there are no right answers or expectations to perform. Each gathering is an invitation to be available to one another and the larger life we share.
Contemplative
Embodied Sensing & Meditation
Gatherings often begin with a slowing down, moving from technical thought into the direct experience of being present in our bodies.
Relational
Deep Listening & Storytelling
We share our lived experiences beneath familiar assumptions, creating space for curiosity, courage, and genuine connection.
Playful
Shared Inquiry & Movement
Some sessions involve gentle movement and playful inquiry, allowing us to find surprising ways to relate to ourselves and others.
The Belonging Project
The Belonging Project is Michael's emerging vision for a growing network of Belonging Circles, moving toward facilitator training and support for those bringing circles into their homes, workplaces, and spiritual communities. This work is deeply inspired by his book, The Wisdom of Belonging: Remembering Our Place in the Greater Whole.
"Belonging is not simply something we find. It is something we create, remember, and practice together."
We invite you to join Michael in the Circle as we practice the art of connection together.
