If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. Mother Teresa
Dear Ones, This morning, as I was walking my dog Buddha, another person, walking from the other direction with her dog, passed us. The other dog growled and barked and strained his leash to come after Buddha. I watched in surprise as my kind, child-loving, and peaceful dog suddenly reacted by growling, confronting, and going after the other dog. Had both dogs been off-leash, it’s likely that they would have gone up to each other, sniffed a bit, and run off to play. It seems that most dogs when they are off their leash, will try to find common ground. Only through the training or example of their owners do most become fearful, protective, and react with violence towards other dogs and people.
In a surprising and welcome relief, it seems that the original expression of anger, rage, and provocation over the horrible murder of George Floyd, has shifted to a deeper look into the embedded prejudice and racism that is rampant, not only in the U.S., but around the world. One of the primary truths of the mystical traditions, that is mostly unrecognized today, is that looking deeply within is what can save us. In many ways, we are on a leash with our cultural, ancestral, and early attachment patterns, habits, and beliefs. Our mechanistic world view separates, divides, and numbs us to the truth that we all belong to each other and to the earth.
How can we deepen our ability to not only look but to see with eyes of connection, compassion, kindness, and belonging in these times of great change and chaos?
Our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance. Brené Brown
A mystic is someone who awakens from the dream of separation through the practices of meditation and contemplation, which develops an expanding sense of presence and renders a direct experience of the sacred. Only when we accept and embrace, those things we previously deemed as unacceptable in ourselves, can we become a mature citizen of the world. One who honors our deep interconnection and interrelatedness with all of life. This is a person who practices inner peace and presence while staying related to the external world. To respect is to look again newly. A mystic looks through eyes of respect and honors their bond with all of creation.
What is being revealed at this time, is the individual and collective unconscious dynamics from the past that are surfacing in order to come into the light of loveand acceptance. We can honor the purpose they once served and recognize that these dynamics have become a threat to all life on this planet. The practice of the mystic is to continue to cultivate an inner state of presence and not shut down to the unwanted energies arising. Our mission is to embrace everything that is arising with love and curiosity, while staying grounded and responding as a mature adult, rather than reacting from the immature and infantile action of a separate ego. In other words, moving from an identity of ME to a worldview of WE. Such a person does not wait for governments, leaders, others or circumstances to heal a broken world. For the mystic, caring becomes the alignment of their actions with their soul’s core purpose.
Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it's beauty. Albert Einstein
To practice the principles of mysticism we must learn to slow down and sense the wisdom of our ancient cellular intelligence, to feel the depths of our emotions, to honor what has gone before, and to grieve what has been lost. The journey begins with questioning the stories, habits, and patterns of the mind and to look deeply within the heart. We have the capacity to rewrite the evolutionary patterns from thousands of years of cultural trauma, dissociation, and unmitigated acceptance of the lie of separation. We are not separate and never have been! If we lived from that one shift in awareness, what would be possible for humanity and all of life?
We will go into the future as a single sacred community, or we will all perish in the desert. Thomas Berry

The transformative power of the mystical principles and experiences can open up a kind of relational intimacy that our rational faculties could never understand. This kind of work transcends mind and personal narrative, to the place of serene understanding of the magnificence of each moment!
Even if you’re unable to join us, please take moments in your day to look deeply at the trees, flowers, one another, and the world with eyes of compassion. Stop focusing on the negative and what you don’t want and open your heart to the beauty of our world and each individual. The survival of life on this planet is depending on our awakening to the magic and mystery of life itself. Get unleashed from your past and celebrate the miraculous unfolding of life itself. Thank you for being a part of the Well of Light family and the larger family of us all...
with Infinite Love and Gratitude, Michael
The natural world is the larger sacred community to which we belong. To be alienated from this community is to become destitute in all that makes us human. To damage this community is to diminish our own existence. Thomas Berry
The Advanced Mystics 6 Month Immersion & Integration Program! Community Presencing, Meditation & Healing
Wednesdays from 8 - 9:30 a.m. Pacific begins June 10th
The parts where I am absent is where my past still has a hold on me. The part where we, as a society, are absent, is where collective trauma symptoms show up. This is the source of our societal issues or pathologies. That absence needs to be illuminated. Thomas Hubl

What people are saying about the Way of the Mystic work with Michael:
Micheal Stone is a man of great authenticity and a great heart filled with compassion and empathy for all. The Way of the Mystic course has made a huge difference in my life. Micheal's guidance and support has opened up a new way of seeing the world and a new way of being. Micheal's greatest strengths I saw was how he managed to create the space so that not only was he connected with every one of his students but we all also felt part of a new community. When the course was over I found myself missing that space of connection with people from far away places on the earth. I would recommend any and all to take courses with the Well of Light. ~Marius Hansson
A special thanks to you Michael for your gentleness and ability to guide us into depths of our souls where we had not been in a long time. Unearthing those buried emotions which want to be touched and loved. ~Patricia de la Borbolla
“May you awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence. May you have joy and peace in the temple of your senses. May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.” ~~ John O’Donohue This quote expresses only a few of the many gifts I received from Michael during the course,‘The Way of the Mystic’. Michael has a compassionate, open, kind and gentle essence that illuminates one’s spirit. His intuitive ability helped me to open myself up to my own goodness and supported me in seeing and embracing self love. His teachings and explanation about PRESENCE and the MOMENT OF NOW provided a much needed respite for me from constantly ‘living in the past or in the future’. I am much more at peace with where I am in my life. THANK YOU, Michael, for your presence in this world! ~Rita Falsetto Michael is a wise, sensitive and practical soul. Through his life long work he has learned how to deal with the vagaries of multiple personalities, competitive ego’s and damaged beings. He innately picks up on hurt and wounds, reaches out and draws out the pain allowing healing and onward movement. Michael teaches from a place of profound understanding and his desire to help, to guide and to lead his students towards a place of light is manifest throughout his courses. I have discovered much by listening to Michael, by watching his guidance, by pondering on his messages. I have watched him deal with his own pain and still manage to bring light to others as he suffers. He is quick to smile, always ready to forgive. He is patient but also demanding, he will focus on an issue and gently guide an individual to their solution. Michael Stone is an empathetic Shaman, a Spiritual Guide, a Man of Light. I look forward to being taught by him again, very soon. Sincerely, ~Michael Winfield
Michael’s presence (and by extension, his teachings) have allowed my own inner-mystic to reveal herself, unearthing my innate and extraordinary capabilities. At 24, I am newly grounded, empowered & excited to continue on the Path of the Mystic! Michael himself is such a free and inevitably inspiring person, on the frontlines of universal spiritual healing. I cannot adequately convey how much goodness he has fostered on our planet during his lifetime. But I can say that his goodness is contagious, and his work blessed. Anyone seeking to deepen their relationships (with themselves, loved ones, un-loved ones, the planet) will do so with Michael. If you’re curious, go for it! Love, ~Holly Faris
I want to humbly express my immense gratitude and love for my former partner Meriel. Her tireless efforts to serve all of us is what has brought us together in our common-unity. She will be greatly missed as she phases out her participation. Also, a special thanks to Debra, Holly, Blanche, and Rita for stepping in to carry the torch and keep the vision of an interconnected world, with no one and nothing left out, a world that serves and supports all. Michael
