Mystics Mini Meditation Retreat
A Day of Embodied Contemplation, Inspiration and Transformation with Michael Stone
Having a meditation practice is a way to deepen our relationship with our essential goodness and access deeper levels of self-awareness and connection with others. In this one day retreat, we will lay the foundation for accessing our most authentic self and attaining alignment with our soul’s purpose.

Strengthening Your Practice
Dear Ones,
In my meditation this morning I was thinking about how many of us struggle with making time for and sticking to a regular sitting schedule. What I have learned from years of meditation is that it doesn’t work to try and fit meditation into our lives, it takes a real commitment to shift our awareness and fit our lives into our meditation.
These are indeed challenging times and we have the inner resources to meet the escalating social, political, and environmental challenges with presence, power, and peace of mind. We tend to forget that we are the product of hundreds of thousands of years of evolution. Our ancestors have seen it all before; war, famine, climate change, plagues, genocide, slavery, and despotic rulers. That we are here is evidence of our resiliency and the innate will of life itself to live, thrive, and evolve.
But, we will not be able to do this if we continue to be disembodied, disconnected from our emotions, trapped in the incessant tape loop of an unintegrated past that continues to shape our present and the future. All of which keeps us separate from each other and from accessing our soul’s purpose for being here. Enlightenment is not a place to get to, it’s an expanding state of presence that happens moment to moment.
Meditation is an act of presencing and honoring all that arises and all that remains hidden. Because our very intelligent nervous system knew when to shut down certain aspects of our essential goodness in order to protect us from being overwhelmed by circumstances we did not have the space or capacity to experience. These dissociated and frozen parts of ourselves need the space that comes from slowing down and being with what is to thaw and integrate into our system.
When we sit and allow old traumas and wounding to arise we can either shove them down and hide in fear or we can open up, embrace them, and love them, which allows us to evolve towards wholeness, happiness, alignment, and congruence with our true essence. Meditation is a declaration of love to life, to our families, our ancestors, and to our descendants.
On December 5th we will be holding a one day retreat to support you in deepening your meditation practice. You will be joined by some of our advanced students and will have an opportunity to discover the principles of maintaining an ongoing, deepening practice.
